almost dazzling, Cisternino is situated on the top of
a hill between the Itria Valley and Adriatic coast.
The historic centre is very beautiful, typical of an
ancient rural community dated from the VII century.
Very impressive is the church Madre raising on the ruins
of an ancient crypt, the sanctuary of Madonna d’Ibernia
and the Tower of Porta Grande, a Norman construction
used as the doorway to the medieval town. |
